ONTARIO, CA - In their first attempt, students from the Santa Ana College (SAC) digital media arts program captured the Fourth Annual World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) Iron Chef of Web Design Challenge held during the TechEd 2007 Conference in Ontario (March 27). SAC’s web team, taught by professor Dr. Sharon Brown, competed in the “live,” five-hour web design competition held on the showroom floor. The SAC web team that included Mariel Cepeda, Noe Teran, Fernando Osorio and Bob Skinner, designed a home page and supporting pages for CORE, a web resource site for teenagers.
Their work was evaluated by a panel of four experts from the press and web design and development community and judged on design appeal, quality of markup and code, accessibility, web site optimization, usability, overall presentation and audience experience.
